Local Delivery App and Local Delivery Rider App ("we", "our", or "us") are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy applies to our Customer Application, Merchant Portal, and Local Delivery Rider App (Package ID: com.prasad1612.riderapp).

1. Information We Collect

We collect personal information to provide smooth food, grocery, and parcel delivery services:

  • Personal & Account Data: Name, phone number, email address, profile details, and delivery addresses provided voluntarily during registration.
  • Location Data (Background & Foreground): For delivery riders using the Local Delivery Rider App, we collect precise GPS location coordinates while the rider is online or on duty. This data is collected even when the app is running in the background or screen is locked to enable automatic order dispatching, accurate delivery route calculation, and real-time live tracking for customers and restaurant partners.
  • Camera & Media Access: Delivery riders may optionally capture photos of cash-on-delivery (COD) deposit receipts or delivery proof using the camera.
  • Device & Notification Data: Device model, OS version, push notification tokens, and system log data to ensure reliable high-priority order dispatch alerts and song notification alarms.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information strictly for service operations, specifically to:

  • Dispatch nearby food, grocery, and parcel delivery orders to active riders.
  • Provide turn-by-turn navigation and live order tracking updates to customers.
  • Process payments, cash-on-delivery settlements via Razorpay/UPI, and rider earnings.
  • Deliver high-priority order notifications, audio alerts, and dispatch popups.
  • Ensure safety, prevent fraud, and comply with legal requirements.

3. Data Sharing & Disclosure

We do NOT sell or rent personal or location data to advertisers or third parties. Data is shared strictly as necessary with:

  • Restaurant & Merchant Partners: Order details so kitchen staff can prepare items accurately.
  • Delivery Partners (Riders): Customer name, delivery address, and contact number solely for order fulfillment.
  • Customers: Live rider location updates once an order is picked up until final drop-off.
  • Payment Services: Secure payment gateways (e.g. Razorpay) to verify transactions and COD settlements.

4. Data Retention & Account Deletion Request

We retain user and rider account data for as long as active services are rendered or as legally mandated. You have the right to request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time.

5. Data Security

We employ SSL encryption, secure API endpoints, and technical access controls to protect all user and rider data against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse.
